Bruce Donald, William and Sue Gross Professor of Computer Science at Duke University, and Professor of Biochemistry in the Duke University Medical Center, has been named an ACM Fellow for his contributions in robotics, MEMS, and computational molecular biology.
Donald came to Duke in Fall 2006. He received a B.A. from Yale, and a Ph.D. from MIT, and was on the faculty of Cornell and Dartmouth. He has been a National Science Foundation Presidential Young Investigator, and was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship for his work on algorithms for structural proteomics.
