Major in Computer Science; Minor in Economics
My name is Janet and I am a senior from Hsinchu, Taiwan. At Duke, I am involved in CS Education research and am writing my honors thesis on the effectiveness of peer instruction in hybrid courses. I also play the flute in the Duke University Marching Band and am a head undergraduate teaching assistant for CS101 :) This summer, I did research on CS assessments in the Code & Cognition Lab at the University of Washington’s Information School. In my free time, I enjoy biking, crocheting, and exploring local cafes.
Favorite Class: COMPSCI240, which explores the diversity, equity, and inclusion challenges in computing. The course materials were really interesting, and I enjoyed the discussions we had on the biases in existing technologies.
